Our MissionEmilia and Constance bring together string players of distinct and individual character to play repertoire from ancient chant to brand new music.
We perform with both a daringness and vulnerability which allows for audiences to connect deeply with themselves and their community.
Whilst committing to developing innovative string sounds, we care about creating concerts that feel handmade and personal.
The collective ranges from a duo to a dozen players, each performance being unique in its formation.

Seida [sai-dah]: a person's unique intuitive musical spirit communicated and perceived through musical participation.
Seida is a word we created, inspired by the Nordic word ‘Seidr’ which is an ancient form of magic used to shape the future. We acknowledge that every performer and listener has their own Seida.
Seida Ensemble is made up of twelve different Seidas, each bringing their own dimension of creativity to the process and performance.
We commit to communicating with each and every Seida in our audience too and believe that classical music can be felt at the deepest levels by anyone, anywhere.
